Solid surface is a man-made material usually composed of marble dust, bauxite, acrylic or polyester resins & pigments.

It can used in the following environment:

Shop Fitting: counter, wall cladding
Airports: check-in counter
Public buildings: display in museum, meeting table

Most solid surface materials combine two main ingredients:

1. A natural mineral (the "filter")

2. A resin (the "blinder")

along with various additives. These are combined and then cast in a curing process that results in a sheet or a shape.
